Whether you are looking to move a single item locally or a complete house or office nationally, we are happy to offer you a free quotation service together with professional advice on the best way logistically to handle your move.

STORAGE

We can offer both short-term and long-term storage in standard 240 cu.ft wooden storage containers in a temperature-controlled environment. This could be to accommodate furniture in between moves, to save space at home for surplus furniture or for storage whilst building or decorating work is being carried out. Your goods must be insured on the day of the removal. We are able to offer insurance through our block policy with an accredited removals insurance company or you may wish to arrange this through your own domestic policy. We are always pleased to give you a quote and details of our cover for comparison with your own policy.

To help ease the stress of moving, we offer a comprehensive professional packing service -whether just for breakable items for insurance purposes or for a complete house pack. We are also able to offer export wrapping for specialist or antique items.

We are always on hand to offer free and friendly advice. Our surveyors will visit your home or office at a time convenient to you and, more importantly, at no cost to you. Our quotation will itemise charges for removal costs, packing, insurance, storage, VAT etc and confirm who is responsible for which aspects of the move.

PACKAGING MATERIALS

As part of our inclusive service, we offer a variety of cartons, paper and tape free of charge, provided the cartons can be returned to us. Otherwise, carton costs will be included in your removal quote. Bubblewrap and export wrap are also available at an additional charge. Even if you want to move yourself, you can still purchase packaging materials from us. Contact us for sizes, prices and availability.

CRATE HIRE

CODE OF PRACTICE

In-Excess Removals has signed up to the code of practice which has been drawn up by the BAR (British Association of Removers) and has successfully completed stage one of the two-stage process for Office of Fair Trade approval under its new Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. The Code sets out the standard that furniture removals companies should comply with regarding services, fair trading, advertising and handling of complaints. Compliance with the code is a requirement for membership of BAR. Its purpose is to maintain and, where necessary, raise standards of practice so that private individuals within the UK receive the most efficient and trouble free move possible.
